It also has a remarkable ability to shed its old, outgrown skin for a new one, symbolizing its ability to emerge from conflict with restored vigor.

In particular, 2013 is the year of the Water Snake, which is said to be a favorable year for new innovations and economic growth. So it seems there is a lot to look forward to this year.

Los Angeles-based Mother Denim denim collection features lightweight tencel denim in vintage silhouettes that are soft, stretchy and comfortable in flattering cuts.
For Fall 2012, Mother Denim wanders into a magical forest of enchanted printed denim with brilliant hues from Pop! with its canopy of emerald corduroys and velvet maples and the damaged denim roots of Graffiti Girl to the sensitive sparkling grain of gilded glitter in new coquettish ankle lengths and zippers.

Ambika’s vision was to create a cruelty-free alternative to fur made by local crocheters. Not able to source angora suppliers locally, she set out to produce her own, which allows her to completely own the production process from the production source (rabbits) to completion (market). To do this she exchanged her Brooklyn NY apartment for a farm in the Catskills.
Her mission: to raise a breed of English angora rabbits that produce fur as soft and warm as sable or fox without the cruelty. Unlike traditional angora rabbits, English angora rabbits produce fur that is longer, denser and fluffier.
The result is a collection with a luxuriously soft hand that is warm, non-shedding and non-itchy. To retain its handcrafted quality, each piece is hand-shorn, hand-spun and hand-knitted. Then they are carefully adorned with vintage-inspired pewter trim all hand-cast in the USA.
Finally, a cruelty-free alternative to fur so we can feel as good as we look.
